At DonCARES, we believe philanthropy is a people-centered endeavor, with this we hold each other accountable for doing our part to make the world a better place.

DonCARES' success depends upon the ability and commitment of our driven volunteers to share their time, knowledge, and resources with the youth we serve while upholding the inspiring vision that empowers us. To do this, our culture is defined by our core values and our mission.
To define our efforts, we strive to make our organization reflect our community where we bring the best out in each other by service, fellowship, and self-appreciation for one another.
Service
Service to others is one of the sure ways to create happiness. At DonCARES, we believe not only in serving our younger brothers and sisters through mentoring but by uplifting our community by lending a helping hand. By aligning ourselves with mentoring best practices, we ensure our mentoring efforts are effective as well as enjoyed by both our mentors and their mentees.
As a school-based organization, we believe the success of our mentoring efforts depends largely on the relationships we build with the students we serve. Through conversation, meals, and collaborative service events we build positive and edifying relationships with each other. In addition, we believe in building camaraderie with all of our community partners and volunteers.
Self-Appreciation
Self-appreciation is giving value to people and giving them proper recognition. Here at DonCARES, we believe in giving credit where it's due. Whether it is through verbal acknowledgment or other awards such as free Blaze Pizza passes, Uncle Bobbie's gift cards, or dinners to the Cheesecake Factory we believe in showing support for those who are sacrificing for the betterment of our community.
