Mentor of the Month: Kevin Jackson

March 26, 2019

Kevin Jackson is recognized as the March 2019 DonCARES of Philadelphia, Inc. Mentor of the Month. Jackson was selected because he  has shown outstanding commitment to our core values and has built a admirable relationship with his mentee Ramon.

Jackson is currently a junior at Temple University majoring in Electrical Engineering and very active on Temple's campus as members of both The National Society of Engineers and Strong Men Overcoming Obstacles Through Hard work.

DonCARES Executive Director Donovan Forrest met Jackson in the beginning of September during the 2018-2019 school year shortly after Jackson applied to be a mentor.

Since his joining of DonCARES as a volunteer mentor, Jackson has built a commendable relationship with his 12th grade mentee Ramon and has even raised $225 for DonCARES via a Facebook fundraiser. In addition to his service with DonCARES, Kevin and his mentee Ramon were highlighted on CBS 3 in the March 2019 Brotherly Love Segment.
